Join the Fisheries Resource Volunteer Corps (FRVC) for a patrol of Mt San Antonio meeting at the the Ice House Canyon Trailhead on June 22nd, from 7:00am to 12:00pm!
This event is open to all volunteer hikers and backpackers, regardless of experience level. Our volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about safety in the mountains, including:
How to prepare for a Ice House Canyon hike
What to do if you encounter snow or ice
How to stay safe in the event of an emergency
Contact patrol leader for more details using the link below.
Please note: Portions of the Ice House Canyon Trail could be covered in ice, possibly snow. Hiking at high elevations in winter/spring/and even early to mid-summer requires experienced mountaineering skills and is not recommended for those unprepared for extreme conditions that can change very quickly. Always check the local weather report and ‘know before you go’
