Actively Recruiting Volunteers 🎣

Join the Fisheries Resource Volunteer Corps (FRVC) for our upcoming field orientation on April 1st! This event is perfect for both prospective and current volunteers who are interested in protecting and preserving fisheries resources.

During the orientation, you will have the opportunity to learn about fish monitoring, water quality testing, and habitat restoration. Our expert trainers will provide you with a hands-on experience and give you an opportunity to see the work that the FRVC does firsthand. Current volunteers will also be on hand to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the new recruits.

The event will start at the San Gabriel Canyon Gateway and visit the West Fork, North Fork, and even the East Fork. It is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to show new recruits the ropes and to see what they have been missing. The experienced volunteers will share their passion for preserving the natural beauty and resources of the San Gabriel River Canyon and help to instill this same dedication in the new volunteers.

The event will be held on Friday, April 1st, and will begin at 8:00 am at the Gateway. We hope that you will join us for this exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment and preserve the natural beauty of the San Gabriel River Canyon for future generations to enjoy. We follow the Leave No Trace principles, which emphasize the importance of protecting the environment and preserving it for future generations to enjoy. We look forward to your participation in this event!
