We are excited to announce our upcoming camping trip to East Fork Rock Creek Camping Area, California, from September 10-17, 2023. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to come together and explore the beauty of nature, while also contributing to our mission of preserving and protecting our fisheries resources.

Our camping trip promises to be filled with fun and engaging activities that will allow us to connect with each other and with the natural world around us. Some of the events we have planned include:

  • Fishing: Rock Creek Lake is home to a variety of fish species. We will have the opportunity to fish in the lake and learn about sustainable fishing practices.  Never fished before or want to learn how to Fly Fish?  It can happen on this trip!

  • Kayaking: We will take a self-guided group kayaking trip down Rock Creek & enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.

  • Hiking: We will explore the nearby trails and learn about the local ecology and wildlife.

  • Wild crafting: Plant/ insect identification + more fun!

In addition to these activities, we will also have plenty of time to relax, socialize, and enjoy each other's company around the campfire.

The Rock Creek Lake Camping Area offers many amenities, including campsites with fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets. The area also nearby features including a general store, boat rentals, and a restaurant.

We want to make sure that everyone feels welcome and included on this trip, regardless of their level of experience or ability. If you have any special needs or requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
