Trout in the Classroom

The Trout in the Classroom program is restarting this year! This is an exciting educational opportunity for public school students in both Riverside and LA County. Each year, thousands of students get hands-on experience with environmental science, fish biology, and conservation. Students learn how to care for and monitor trout eggs as they develop and grow, culminating in a memorable trout release event in the Angeles and San Bernardino National Forests.

Through the program, students develop a deeper understanding of the natural world and their place in it. They come to appreciate the importance of conservation and sustainability, and learn how to make a positive impact on the environment. Many students have gone on to pursue careers in fields related to environmental science and conservation.
